To achieve financial freedom, we don't need ultimately need mathematical calculations.  Instead, we need to address a central question:  Why are we making the financial decisions we are making?  What is the motivation behind these decisions?

To go about identifying these motivations, the book is organized around three questions designed to reveal problems and present gospel-based solutions with regard to how you approach your personal finances.  As it pertains to money, we ask:

I.                    How did you get it?

II.                  What are you doing with it?

III.                What is it doing to you?

Conventional wisdom says that self-discipline is the key to achieving your goals.  We say that is exactly backwards.  Your goals are the key to achieving sufficient self-discipline.
